Phil is the founder of Your Local Mortgage Expert and heads our advice team from our Lesmahagow base. He has advised hundreds of clients throughout Scotland on everything from first time buyer mortgages to complex self-employed cases and portfolio buy to let. Like every adviser here, Phil has access to 90+ lenders and gives whole of market advice.

Dougie is an experienced mortgage adviser and an active property investor, based in Renfrew and advising clients throughout Scotland. He specialises in buy to let and complex mortgages — portfolio landlords, limited company structures, adverse credit and the cases other brokers turn away. Having built a property portfolio of his own, Dougie advises investors from lived experience as well as qualification.

Pauline brings over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry to Your Local Mortgage Expert. As our Mortgage Case Manager, Pauline keeps every application moving — liaising with lenders, solicitors and surveyors so you don't have to — and is your friendly day-to-day point of contact once your case is underway.
